Detail about this car by owner
1972 Plymouth 'Cuda - 4 Speed - Factory AC The original body style of the Barracuda is so well loved by so many car enthusiasts that Chrysler will be coming out with an updated version in the near future replacing the Challenger. Why pay $50,000+ for a not-quite-right imitation when you can have The Real McCoy for about half that? Another difference is that the new version will depreciate in value, my car will not.
I'm offering this 4-Speed manual with pistol grip, factory AC* car that is rust free and practically everything mechanical and electronic has either been replaced with a new part or rebuilt. (see list below). The exterior is in great condition, really nice paint, no dents, dings or scratches. The interior is also in great shape, the seats have no rips, tears, or fraying.
The following items have been performed on the car within the past 9 months and 300 miles, I have all receipts for your inspection: I also have the original factory build sheet:
- Complete engine rebuild under warranty, this also included many miscellaneous replacement items such as new header gaskets, distributor cap and rotor, radiator hoses, all new belts, etc., etc.
- New clutch
- Complete breaking system overhaul with new parts including master cylinder, brake drums, brake shoes, wheel bearing set, seals, wheel cylinders, etc.
- Four new tires under warranty.
- Wiring Harness - all new wires throughout
- New radiator
- New Summit 4 bbl Carburetor
- New water pump and thermostat
- New voltmeter, oil pressure & water temp gauges
- New alternator
- Rebuilt starter
- All fluids changed including rear differential.
- New Monroe Matic shocks, steering parts, tie rod end, etc.
- New fuel tank sender, coolant temperature sensor/sender
- Headers with Flowmaster exhaust (sounds good, and I mean really good)
Credibility: Check my eBay feedback under: weatherdon, I have been an eBay buyer and seller (mostly seller) for 18 years with over 2,200 feedback comments and I have never received even one negative comment.
Full disclosure: The car was originally born a 318 Barracuda but has been restored and transformed into a 340 'Cuda tribute car. The correct 318 has been completely rebuilt and is under warranty. Almost all of the mechanical work has been done by Howard Edwards, owner of Howard's Hot Rod Shop in Winter Garden, one of the premier hot rod and muscle car builders in Florida.
Is this a Pebble Beach 100 point Concours d'Elegance perfect show car? No. You'll have to dig way deeper in your pocket for one of those. Mine is a great looking, mechanically sound and reliable driver that turns heads and gets a thumbs up wherever it goes and is a hit at local car shows. My $28,000 asking price is firm.
