The 1969 Chevrolet Camaro, especially the Pace Car Convertible, is a car with a storied past. It was originally designed to pace the Indianapolis 500, a testament to its performance and style. This particular model, built in the Norwood assembly plant, is a Z11 coded car, indicating it is one of the special pace car replicas produced for public sale. These replicas were almost identical to the actual pace cars used in the race, making them highly desirable among collectors.

This specific 1969 Chevrolet Pace Car Convertible boasts a clean title and an excellent condition rating, underscoring its careful maintenance and preservation over the years. The car's odometer reads 17,322 miles, although it has rolled over, a common occurrence in classic cars but one that doesn't diminish its value given the car's documented history and condition. This classic has been in our family since rolling off the line in '73. Was completely frame-off restored in the early 2000's. Extensive engine modifications, transmission, and wiring all upgraded or replaced. Runs and drives, but needs some minor tuning and TLC.

Engine Modifications: Original 350 small block bored out to 383 with a Stroker kit. Edelbrock Performer Series; Camshaft, Timing Chain and Cover, Intake Manifold, Fuel Pump, Air Filter. Thunder Series AVS 750cfm Carburetor. Aftermarket Exhaust Headers to dual 3-inch H-piped Chrome tips.

History: This car has been in our family since my great aunt purchased it new in 1973. Very well maintained daily driver with regular trips to the mechanic for tune ups and maintenance for its first years of life. In 1987 my father acquired it from her and together we began a full frame-off restoration a few years later. Focusing mostly on the engine, transmission, and front end, we also replaced all the wiring (with a Painless Wiring Harness). The engine was bore-enlarged and reassembled by TNT Inc. of Kingman, AZ. The motor is now a BBC 540 cubic inch Merlin BBC with roller cam but runs off of todays pump gas so you can get in and drive it anywhere. 4 speed transmission 12 bolt 4:10 gear posi-track . stock exhaust manifolds with all the attention in detail to make the exhaust look like factory from front to back. 1970 Chevy Nova Yenko Deuce

1970 Chevy Nova Yenko Deuce

Buy American Muscle Cars, 1970 Chevy Nova Yenko Deuce For Sale

Price $119900
Location Las Vegas, Nevada

Found this one rare version of the Nova lineage well-known as Yenko Deuce, the owner claimes only 175 Deuces were produced in 1970 and this one of them still in immaculate condition. The car has been totally restored and has driven about only 25700 miles since then, and present well by photos were posted in Craigslist about 16 days ago and still online today for $119900 or ready to trade.

Detail about this car by owner
Selling my 1970 Nova Yenko Deuce. Car is bone stock and with the exception of the CE block( which is date code correct), my car is completely numbers matching. The car has seen only 26,000 miles and I know the entire owner history of the car.

They manufactured only 175 Deuces in 1970 and it is believed that only around 82 survive today. Mine is one of 25 Forest Green cars. Mine has a 4-speed, much more desirable than the floor shift automatic! Note that my car is running the original, super rare Atlas Mags!

My car is listed in both the Yenko and Deuce registries.

A complete frame off restoration, with picture documentation, was undertaken less than 3,000 miles ago.

Real Yenkos are a smart investment. The last one sold at Mecum Indy a few months ago for $154,000 (with buyer's premium). Mine is absolutely as nice and $35K less.

I would consider a trade for a real 1961 Chevrolet Impala SS with a 409 and 4-speed or possibly a 1965 Big Block Vette or a 1963 SWC Vette. Maybe a real 66-71 Hemi.

Price $17900
Location New River, Arizona

Detail about this car by owner
Found this one 2-door hardtop Chevy Impala SS being offered for sale in New River, Arizona. 1968 Chevrolet Impala SS396 325hp
Matching numbers FACTORY M-21 Muncie 4-speed A/C P/S P/D/B - Bucket seats - Floor Console
Factory Air Conditioning works excellent and blows ice cold. Excellent driver.
History of car is that it has always been in the southwest between Texas and Arizona. Very slight bubbling of paint at rear quarters but it won't show up in photos. Some rust at rear trunk area (see photo), OTHERWISE THIS IS AN almost RUST FREE SOUTHWEST GEM.

Paint was changed from gold to orange/red color years ago. It is very presentable as a driver. Some paint flaws I've tried to show in photos. NOT A CONCOURSE SHOW CAR--please guys, this is an excellent condition 'driver' that performs super well.
All original chrome, trim, rallye wheels, etc. All in good shape, but definitely original with some stress cracks in corners of chrome bumpers, etc. This is a 5 footer car--definitely nice driver quality but not a perfect show car by any means. Could be restored to show car quality, but why would you? Too much fun to drive as is.
12 bolt rear differential, 3:31 ratio open rear end.
245/60/15 Cooper RWL radials are at approx. 80% tread remaining. Spare included but NO JACK.
All dash gauges - interior and exterior lights - buzzers & alarms - all working great---MISSING RADIO. All window glass (tinted) might be original and in excellent cond. All windows operate as should roll up/down all window crank mechanisms in good condition & operate smoothly.
Clutch and transmission working excellent. Runs excellent--starts easy and runs great. NO ISSUES with any driving mechanicals or function. Fan motor blower heater A/C works great. 4 speed Muncie shifts very well, nice & tight with no slop in shifting mechanism or trans. Clutch action is smooth and engages/disengages nicely with no slip.
Interior was changed from gold seats to black years ago. So this was an original gold/gold car changed to red/black. Original carpet still in place. NO CRACKS in original dash. Vinyl top looks newer and is in excellent shape. All stainless trim and chrome is original, all SS badges appear to be original.
Original engine rebuilt at 84K miles with mild cam upgrade, head & valve work, etc. Not a drag racer, but still street-able and mildly tuned. Very powerful engine has great sound and mild lope to cam. Foot to floor and this beast will really move, even as big and heavy as it is. True dual exhaust with magna-flow mufflers all the way to back. Excellent suspension, tight steering with no slop, excellent brakes, NEW DRIVE SHAFT, NEW POWER BRAKE BOOSTER, NEW A/C LINES and compressor re-charged, NEW FUEL LINES, etc.
If you've read this far you probably already know how rare a factory matching numbers engine / matching numbers 4 speed Muncie Trans / true SS396 / Air Conditioning / Power Steering / Power Disc Brakes car is. The factory air combined with factory 4-speed makes this car very rare indeed. This is also the rarer still Custom Coupe body style.

Call if any questions -- Mike show contact info Located in New River, AZ 85087 (just N. of Phoenix).
I invite any all prospective buyers to physically inspect car in person prior to purchase. PLEASE CALL ME if unclear about any of these terms.
I found the numbers at the passenger front of the engine block and they read as follows:
T1220IA 78R133506
Looks like it is indeed a factory 4-speed, and the last nine digits also match the car's V.I.N.
This does indeed appear to be a very special car, and I hope that she goes into someone's collection of rare high performance GM muscle cars. Please remember to drive it though, as it's really too good of a car to just sit.
The brakes are power DISC front & DRUM rear.
The carb is an Edelbrock 4-bbl (big one). All other accessories including radiator, fan, shroud, pumps & pulleys etc. seem to be OEM original.
The A/C might have been converted to R-134, however I can't promise that. I don't see any stickers designating it as having been converted, so it's possible that it might still be charged with R-12.
Please feel free to call or email with any more questions.
