Detail about this car
Plymouth paid $50k to Warner Bros. to use the Road Runner name and likeness. The car was an instant hit and now it’s a legend that represents everything fun about having a muscle car. On the Chrysler “B” platform, it was designed as a back-to-basics mid-size performance car with a whole lot of style. This car was originally a Belvedere/Satellite body which has now been converted to full Road Runner Clone status. It’s fully restored with a Clean and clear title in Owner’s name.

Sublime Green is one of the most iconic colors offered by Plymouth in 1970. You need to get ready to be the center of attention. Roll into the show and just enjoy the fun. The black soft top looks great either up or down. The black racing stripes and black interior contrast perfectly with the bright paintwork and chrome. The raised white letter, BFG Radial T/A’s, mounted on Magnum 500 wheels, give you more grip than the stock 4-plys ever did... and set off the whole package in true ‘70’s style. This is an expression of muscle from every angle.

The black vinyl interior with silver accents has been restored to its original perfection. It’s all business with nothing fancy, yet still has a lot of style. The bench seat is especially nice to have on date night. The column mounted shifter provides you with extra legroom. There’s even room in the back seat when you buy a muscle car of this size. The Road Runner cartoon badge on the center of the steering wheel reminds you that you’re driving something really special here and you also have the option of that classic “Beep! Beep!” horn to entertain all your admirers.

This non-numbers matching 383 cubic inch V8 is mated to a TorqueFlite automatic transmission. Factory rated horsepower is 335 with 425 lb-ft of torque. Top speed is 130 mph with 0-60 mph times in about 6 seconds. The super clean engine compartment looks factory fresh and correct. Providing your stopping power are single-piston Kelsey-Hayes disc brakes (a big improvement over the small-rotor Bendix 4 piston calipers of ‘68 & ‘69). Chrome-tipped dual exhaust exits are at the perfect length and provide you with a symphony of ‘70’s muscle car goodness.

This car is being auctioned on a new classic car auction site. We provide a 3rd party inspection, professional photos and a walk around video - See the auction here - https://www.clasiq.com/auction/1970-plymouth-road-runner-convertible/
