Up for your consideration is a 1970 Dodge Challenger R/T desert barn find survivor project car. It is one of 2720 383 4-bbl Challengers built in 1970, but is extremely rare due to it's combination of highly desirable options. This car is a factory original JS23N serial numbered R/T with all numbers stamped and matching at fender, cowl, & radiator support (EO116221). These numbers also match the VIN. The car is in almost 100% original condition, and is roughly 99% all there. Please look at photos for it's current condition.

This car is an original Los Angeles built car that eventually wound up in Utah. Still has it's original Utah open title in original owner's name which is ready to transfer to new owner. I purchased from a collector here in Phoenix area who was going to restore it, but if you saw his yard full of around 20 collector cars (all needing resto) then you might understand why he never got around to it.

Included with the purchase of the car are NOS Mopar split exhaust tips (not reproduction and probably worth a fortune now), original green plaid cloth center pieces for seat repair from Mopar (unobtanium), radiator overflow recovery bottle (new), floor shift boot, etc. Remote control 'racing' mirror included in trunk (original, works), as well as various other NOS bits to help with your resto. New battery tray. See trunk & engine bay photo.

Also included are the original 14" Ralley wheels that came on the car with very good BFG Radial T/A tires. These wheels are original and OEM date coded Mopar units. They have been restored and look almost show worthy.
Some of the original Gator Grain vinyl top is still present and visible in spots. Headliner is original and still pretty darned nice. Rear seat covers original and nice as well. Front seats will need recovering and probably some foam repair, but are in great shape otherwise. The interior is very clean for being from 1970.

Engine is untouched including carb, 7 blade HD fan, HD radiator, engine oil cooler, air cleaner assembly, etc. Previous owner got the motor running but that was as far as he got. See new plug wires, etc. This is as much as I know about the engine. Odometer reads 89,631 miles and I believe them to be original, but I can not verify that either. 4-speed trans is original and includes reverse lock out and all safety lights, buzzers, etc. Pistol Grip handle w/Hurst shifter is original and in excellent condition. Green 4-speed center console is original and is in excellent condition.

Heavy duty suspension in place. Rear shocks are older aftermarket air shocks and will need to be replaced. Smells like old-bad gas coming from the fuel tank so please consider that too. Paint is original. I believe all sheet metal is original Dodge Mopar.

A 1970 Dodge Challenger R/T with 383 ci engine, 4 speed manual transmission, 3.91 High Performance Axle Pkg., a very rare color combination, and a heavily optioned car make it near the top of desirability for a hi-po Mopar. This is the car that started the Mopar E-body fever. It is common to see these cars sell for $85K or above, with a very nice restoration. Due to this car's unusual options it might possibly sell for even higher. As we all know, Mopar Performance values are rising very rapidly. 440-6bbl and Hemi cars are already well into the 6 figure price range. Due to this cars extremely rare option package this too might be one of those, once correctly restored. This car does have some typical corrosion issues, but not bad. I live near Phoenix, AZ just off interstate highway I-17, zip code 85087. Look at the photos carefully, call and ask any questions, but what you see in the photos is what you get. The interior dash cluster, seats, door panels (sun faded at both tops), center console, & interior are quite nice as well. The steering wheel and entire assembly is particularly nice, with rim blow horn. Windows roll up and down smoothly. The car needs a full and total restoration, but 99.9% of everything is there and in overall good condition. This car is almost 100% original Mopar as it sits.
I can store the car for a reasonable amount of time, and will help with pick-up and delivery.

Rust through in trunk pan (will most likely need a new pan), and some rust through corrosion on both rear quarter panels behind wheels. But, floor pans and frame rails look pretty good though. For the most part this vehicle is pretty dry overall. Note the very rare lower sill moldings (which almost no one ordered back then) and both are still present and in good shape. All wheel well moldings present as well. '383 Magnum' hood emblems are NOS Mopar. Other than radio antennae & battery, this car is all there.
Still wearing it's original carpet (green) and most of it's light mist green paint. All window glass excellent and present, except for crack in front windshield. All windows roll up / down with no issues.

NEEDS TOTAL RESTO but is an excellent core car with clear UT title (NOT a salvage title).
As far as $$ offers go I'm not very flexible. Rare optioned, investment grade Mopar muscle cars are rising in value quickly. Remember, it's all about the numbers with these cars, and this one's got them. I would not be surprised to find out that this is almost certainly a '1 of 1' 1970 Challenger R/T.
