Detail about this car
NO TRADES. Up for sale is a rust free and an immaculate and virtually perfect example of a 1969 Camaro SS - this color combination itself is very rare with the Hugger Orange exterior (last repainted in 1985) and the Deluxe Orange Naugahyde/Houndstooth interior (typically only a Pace Car Option). This is an all numbers matching SS 350 in meticulously well maintained condition.
Less than 64500 miles and the undercarriage is clean enough to eat off. Here are a few facts about this vehicle:
True SS350 / 300HP Small Block - Fully Restored and Numbers Matching
4 Speed Manual ( Currently has an upgraded Tremec 5 Spd tranny but the original 4 Spd goes with it)
(Trans is in great shape, no noise, smooth shifting, converted to 5 spd for driveability only)
Original GM 12 Bolt w/3:31 gears - Open Rear End
Tilt Steering w/Rosewood Steering Wheel
Power Steering
Power Brakes w/Front Disc - Rear Drum
Air Conditioning (yes it works perfectly and has been retrofitted to work with R-134a)
Originally Purchased at Barret Jackson in 2006 for $57200 (not counting commission fees) and has been unmolested and babied since then. As stated, only modifications were the upgraded Tremec 5spd tranny for easier driving, upgraded to Firestone Redline Tires with less than 300 miles on them (including the spare which has never been mounted), and the exhaust was corrected to include Gardner Exhaust as it was originally presented. This is what Barret Jackson had to say about it when they originally listed it:
"A full restoration of a true numbers matching X55. This is a rare code 72 Hugger orange with the original Houndstooth interior. It is a 350/300 horsepower with 4 speed, power steering, power brakes, and factory air conditioning. This SS is a blast to drive even when the July sun is blazing."
Here is a link to the photos of when it was originally delivered, and in its present condition. Zero rust!
